Couples Counseling

Couples counseling at Allies in Hope counseling in Salem Oregon

Couples experience many moments in the life of a relationship, some where they might even needĀ help. Feeling distant from your partner? Worried the children are the only aspect keeping you together? Want to get back to how the relationship was in the beginning? Looking to protect against relationship troubles now?

At Allies in Hope Counseling, my focus with couples is to strengthen the relationship, increase the couple’s communication and enhance emotional connection.

Together, we aim to expand communication between partners, overcome blocks to communication, increase emotional understanding, identifying negative relationship patterns while working towards improving those patterns. These patterns can be changed, they do not have to stay the same.

My approach emphasizes communication, emotional awareness, and connection all while looking at the family systems which are affecting the relationship. I specialize in Marriage, Couples and Family Therapy and believe relationships are strengthened by having couples in therapy together.

Whether you want to improve communication, overcome a concern in the relationship, looking for tools to strengthen the relationship, or are thinking about separating, I believe couples work has something to offer everyone.
